ABC News Special Coverage of Hurricane Sandy

As the East Coast braces for the arrival of Hurricane Sandy, which is expected to be a "perfect storm" of three different systems, ABC News will have comprehensive coverage from its Extreme Weather Team across all broadcast and platforms this weekend including "World News with Diane Sawyer," "Good Morning America," "This Week with George Stephanopoulos," and "World News with David Muir" as well as ABC News Radio and ABC News digital platforms.

Tonight on "World News with Diane Sawyer" ABC News Weather Editor Sam Champion will report from Miami and ABC News Meteorologist Ginger Zee will report from the Daytona Beach area. Linsey Davis will be in New Jersey reporting on the storm preparations being taken by those on along the coast.

In addition, Matt Gutman will be reporting from the outer banks of the Carolinas for all platforms.

According to forecasters, there is a 90 percent chance that the East Coast will take a direct hit on Monday, October 29. ABC News will be monitoring the storm's path throughout the weekend and adjusting its coverage plans accordingly.
