— -- President-elect Donald Trump met with Nigel Farage, the head of the UK Independence Party and leader of the Brexit movement, at Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan Saturday afternoon.

Farage posted a series of tweets about their meeting, including a photo of the two men smiling ear-to-ear amidst the gold detailing of Trump Tower.

"It was a great honour to spend time with @realDonaldTrump. He was relaxed and full of good ideas. I'm confident he will be a good President," Farage tweeted.

Farage added that Trump's "support for the US-UK relationship is very strong. This is a man with whom we can do business."

Looking ahead toward Trump's arrival at the White House, Farage tweeted, "Especially pleased at @realDonaldTrump's very positive reaction to idea that Sir Winston Churchill's bust should be put back in Oval Office."

Kelly Conway, Trump's campaign manager, told reporters in the lobby of Trump Tower Saturday that the pair of leaders "had an opportunity to talk about freedom and winning and what this all means for the world."
