Chris Christie Puts to Rest How He Eats M&Ms

— -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie defended the way he enjoys his M&Ms after a photo of him pouring his bag of chocolates into a box went viral on Twitter.

“There’s a bag inside the box, you dope,” Christie said in an interview with WFAN’s Boomer & Carton.

The New Jersey radio personalities poked fun at the governor saying, “Why would you go bag-to-box? Just eat ‘em out of the bag!”

“You know why? It’s easier to hold the box than to hold the bag,” Christie insisted. “The bag is flimsy. The box is solid.”

Christie was photographed at Notre Dame’s men basketball game in Philadelphia.

“When you are an enthusiastic Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan as I am, you don't want a flimsy bag in your hand.” Christie added. “Listen, I run New Jersey, not M&M Mars.”

Christie put an end to the bag-to-bag mystery, jokingly calling Carton an “idiot.”

Boomer came to his co-host's defense, quipping, “You hanging around with Donald Trump these days, you’re starting to call people names.”

The former GOP presidential candidate laughed it off, saying the hosts “joined the dummies in the Twitter verse.”

“Even if it was bag-to-bag, how that’s a story, I have no idea,” he said.
