— -- Sen. Marco Rubio remained adamant he will win his home state of Florida in Tuesday's primary despite some of the latest polls showing him trailing Donald Trump by double-digits.

A NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll released Sunday showed Rubio behind Trump 43 percent to 22 percent among likely GOP voters in the Sunshine State. But Rubio, who won Washington, D.C.'s Republican primary on Saturday, said the polls had been wrong before.

"These polls do reflect how voters vote because they see them and they wake up and say, 'Oh, well, he has no chance.' But I can just tell you, they’ve been really wrong and I think in Florida especially, which is a closed primary," he said Sunday on ABC's "This Week." "On Wednesday morning, some pollsters somewhere are going to have explain why they’re so wrong, not just about Florida but multiple different places."

Rubio also chided Trump, who he said would be unable to unite the Republican Party.

"I think the more important question is how about the millions and millions of other people around the country who have already said if Donald Trump is the nominee, they’re just not voting. They just won’t vote," he said. "No Republican can win with that many people locked in saying I’m not going to vote for our nominee."
