Marco Rubio Says He and Jeb Bush Are 'Fine,' Despite Apparent Debate Rebuff

— -- GOP presidential candidate Marco Rubio said this morning that he and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush were "fine," despite footage from Tuesday night's GOP debate appearing to show Bush rebuffing Rubio's attempt to speak to him during a commercial break.
When asked in an interview on “Good Morning America” about the possible snub, Rubio said, “It looked that way, but that’s not what happened. We were fine.”
As the lights dimmed during a commercial break at the Fox Business-Wall Street Journal Republican debate, Rubio approached the former governor as Bush appeared to shake his head at him. Rubio instead turned and spoke to front-runner Donald Trump.
Rubio said this morning that he doesn’t take anything personally while running for president.
“I know it makes for an interesting Vine video, but it really wasn’t anything of meaning,” he said, smiling.
The increasingly tense relationship between Bush and Rubio has been in the spotlight ever since they exchanged some harsh words at a previous debate on Oct. 28th.
The debate Tuesday night was mostly without personal attacks, but there was still some heated back and forth. Fellow GOP candidates John Kasich and Trump went after each other on how to deal with illegal immigration.
In the interview this morning, Rubio said, “we have to responsibly but realistically deal with people that are here illegally,” which has long been his position.
Some of Rubio’s biggest moments in the debate Tuesday night included a heated exchange with Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul over military spending and his labeling of Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “gangster” and “organized crime figure.”
