Guess How Often the Average iPhone User Unlocks Their Device Per Day

Number shows just how attached many people are to their phones.

The average iPhone user unlocks their device 80 times per day, according to a report from analyst Ben Bajarin, who said he participated in a conference call on Friday detailing iOS security features. An Apple representative confirmed the figure to ABC News.

Of those who have a device offering Touch ID, Bajarin wrote that 89 percent of users enabled the security feature, which can be a way to save time from entering a passcode. Considering a 15 hour day, from the time a person wakes up and goes to bed, that works out to checking your phone every 11 minutes and 15 seconds.
