— -- As Super Bowl 50 gears up in California, New Yorkers can still get in on the spirit from the East Coast.

Just follow along with the game by looking up at the skyline -- the Empire State Building will become a "virtual scoreboard," sparkling for points and glowing for the leading team.

The lights will be split in the colors of the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers at kickoff, and with each score, the building will sparkle in the scoring team's colors and remain lit for the team holding the lead.

After the game, the building will sparkle in the winning team's colors for an hour, and will remain lit for the winning team until sunrise.
