— -- An American Airlines flight en route to Miami from Rio de Janeiro was diverted to Brasilia, Brazil, Thursday evening due to a medical situation.

The airline said in a statement that flight 904 landed safely at Brasilia International Airport after one passenger and three flight attendants complained they felt lightheaded.

Following the plane’s arrival, paramedics examined the passengers and crew. None needed medical attention, according to American Airlines.

The flight was canceled and the passengers were re-accommodated on other flights, the airline said.
