OMAHA, Nebraska -- Hillary Clinton has a new message for Republicans: She’s not … a devil.

During a campaign event today, the Democratic front-runner joked about her likability as she urged the crowd to talk to their Republican friends about her campaign.

"First thing you can tell them, as best as you can tell looking under the lights, I don’t have horns,” Clinton quipped to an audience of roughly 800 people inside the Sokol Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska.

"And the second thing that you can tell them is that, you know, our economy does better when we have a Democrat in the White House,” she added.

In October, Clinton, who has been criticized by detractors for having a “likability problem,” called Republicans the “enemy” of which she is most proud during a Democratic debate. She later, however, explained the remark was tongue-in-cheek.

Clinton’s comment today came during a campaign event with billionaire investor Warren Buffett, where she called for increasing taxes on the wealthy and for expanding the “Buffett Rule” — a proposal backed by Warren Buffett that says people earning $1 million per year should pay an effective tax rate of at least 30 percent.

"I want to go even further,” Clinton said. “Right now, there has been too much that has led to the wealthy getting wealthier at the expense of the hard-working families, middle-class families, young people, and that’s not the way we are going to keep America going and growing.”

Clinton, who has also pledged not to raise taxes on the middle class, is expected to roll out the specifics of her tax plan next year, according to an aide.
