— -- A cafe in Israel is using the power of hummus in an effort to bring Jewish and Arab residents together amid three weeks of deadly violence throughout the country and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

The Hummus Bar near the coastal city of Netanya is offering a 50 percent discount off the chickpea dish for all tables where Jews and Arabs sit together, according to a post from the restaurant's Facebook page.

"Afraid of Arabs? Afraid of Jews," the post read in Hebrew. "We don't have Arabs here, we don't have any Jews either... BUT we have people here! And we have excellent real Arabic hummus! And fine Jewish falafel!"

The cafe is also offering "free refills for all humus dishes be you Arab, Jewish, Christian, Indian, etc.," the post added.

The hummus cafe's manager, Kobi Tzafrir, said several Arab and Jewish groups have already come to the bar since the offer first went out last Tuesday, the Times of Israel reported. Tzafrir added that the kitchen is kosher, and therefore halal as well.

"If there’s anything that can bring together these peoples, it’s hummus," Tzafrir said.

Tzafrir did not immediately respond to ABC News' requests for additional comment.
